On Jun. 8, He Yonglin, municipal party secretary met with Huo Qinghua, President of Kingho Group who paid an inspection visit to Bayannur, and the two sides talked about Kingho Group’s investment in oil shale project in Bayannur. The city leaders Niu Junyan, Zhou Yulin and Jia Jun participate in the talk.

 He Yonglin welcomed Huo Qinghua’s visit to our investment project. He said that Bayannur boasted abundant natural resources and obvious geographical advantage, and after recent years of rapid development, it had introduced many leading enterprises including Shenhua, Baotou Steel, and Dun’an, and generated a pillar industry and strategic new-pattern industry. At present, as Bayannur is, as required by the Autonomous Region’s “8337” development idea and the municipal Party committee’s “1359” development idea, focusing on building five bases and implementing nine key projects, and enthusiastically welcoming large enterprises such as Kingho Group to come forth and make investment. President Huo’s visit to Bayannur brought great opportunities for bilateral cooperation. Kingho Group is an internationalization and modern resource energy chemical enterprise that engages in coal mining, washing, coal chemical industry, metallurgy, fine coal chemical industry, building materials, and logistics, having advanced technology and strong strength in mineral resource development, especially oil shale resource development and utilization. As the demand for world energy, especially that for oil is constantly rising, such an unconventional oil and gas resource of oil shale as an oil-alternative source is gaining increasing attention. Our city is possessed of abundant oil shale resources, which are pending development and have great potential for exploitation. Besides, as the railway , highway, as well as water conservancy and power infrastructure in our city are increasingly improved, the advantage of border opening is more and more prominent, and we already have the solid foundation for and significant advantage in accommodating large projects and developing major industries. It’s hoped that this visit would serve as an opportunity to further strengthen the communication between the two sides and promote the cooperation in oil shale exploration, development and utilization, as well as relevant supporting industries. The City and Banner as well as the department concerned shall set up a special project promotion team at the soonest to fully cooperate with Kingho Group in doing a good job of the preliminary work of the project, and promote the implementation of the project.

 President Huo said that Bayannur enjoyed exceptional advantage in developing oil shale industry and the mutual cooperation had good foundation and common expectation, and he was willing to further strengthen communication and promote in-depth cooperation, so as to realize win-win development.
